Thursday morning my plan was the same as Wednesday. I wanted to get out on the lake to view the sunrise from the glassy stillness of the water. But the lake had other ideas.

Yesterday the water was still as a solid surface, giving the false impression that one could walk across its surface. This morning the surface was anything but calm. I braved its hazards long enough to snap a few pictures, but had to turn back to the shore for fear of being capsized by the wind fueled waves.

As the day has progressed on, the wind and waves have done anything BUT dissipate. Its too cold and windy for swimming.

I have hope that I will be able to get back out there Friday morning.
