Living your best live doesn’t mean avoiding the bad or messy stuff. It means facing it, knowing that its temporary and that it is a means of growth. Look for opportunities to learn in all difficult situations.
I’d rather struggle toward success, together with someone I share mutual respect and appreciation with, than to easily succeed, alone. The journey is sometimes worth more or more fulfilling than the destination, and sometimes the journey is what makes the destination worth it. And for some reason this topic makes me think of music… as so many things do these days.
When I was very young I was exposed to a wide variety of music, one artist that stands out was Phillip Glass. I loved how the music was like a kaleidoscope for the ears forever changing. Floe is a great example in my opinion, though it can be a bit of an auditory onslaught.
My appreciation of this music may have led to my appreciation of groups like The Crystal Method, The Chemical Brothers, and even more recently a limited appreciation of the DubStep genre. But this isn’t to say that my range of musical appreciation is limited to this type of music. To say my musical preference is “eclectic” might be putting it mildly, though I don’t have a better term to use.
